About us

About us

Where every dish tells a story—and every guest feels like family.

At Mama’s Kitchen, we believe in the power of good food made with love. What started as a few family recipes passed down through generations has grown into a cozy, community-rooted restaurant where comfort and flavor come together. Our kitchen is inspired by the meals our own Mama made—simple, soulful, and always from scratch.

We don’t just serve food—we serve memories. Whether it’s a flaky pot pie that reminds you of Sunday dinners or a red velvet cupcake that tastes like your childhood birthday, every dish is crafted to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart.

More than a restaurant, Mama’s Kitchen is a place to gather, laugh, and share stories over plates full of goodness. We’re proud to be your home away from home—and we can’t wait to serve you.

Our Story

Mama’s Kitchen was born from the heart and hands of Miss Lorraine “Mama” Johnson, a Southern home cook with a passion for feeding people the way her own mama did—slow-cooked, lovingly prepared meals that bring folks together. After years of hosting family dinners and church potlucks, her dream of opening a neighborhood spot became reality when she turned her own home kitchen into a small community eatery.

With just a few dishes on the menu and a whole lot of heart, Mama’s Kitchen quickly became known as the place to find the flavors of home. Word spread, tables filled, and over time, that humble kitchen grew into the welcoming restaurant you know today.
